Alexa Miller is a former artist that through various life experiences studied human resilience and uncertainty management. She founded Arts Practica, a consulting company that teaches art observation to healthcare practitioners. She taught at the Harvard Medical School where doctors to be and even the faculty learned how to enhance their diagnosis abilities. Alexa Miller’s workshops push forward clinical training and provide a new perspective on the benefits of art in medicine.

10. Claire MORGAN – Artist

Claire Morgan is an artist born in Belfast and currently living in Newcastle. She is known for her sculpture made with taxidermy and plastic crumbs but also for her watercolor and more recently paintings. From her studio at home, she shares with us how she dealt with the lockdown and how it affected her creative process.
Her work gives importance to nature, death and time ; in the interview Claire Morgan talks about how she sees the world currently through her artist lens. She also talks about this crisis as an opportunity to experiment and accelerate an artwork’s evolution.

Charlotte Dutoit is an entrepreneur and curator, founder of Justkids a women-led company that collaborates with artists (like Shepard Fairey, Vhils, Camille Walala, Felipe Pantone, or Frank Stella…) to make public art, and curate festivals like Life Is Beautiful in Las Vegas. Charlotte Dutoit also connects brands with artists for successful collaborations. In this episode, we will discuss how a company that makes outdoor exhibitions can deal with the pandemic situation. Special Episode – Apichatpong WEERASETHAKUL – How Everything Started

The Thai visual artist Apichatpong Weerasethakul is better known as a director. Considered the most brilliant of his generation in his country, he is internationally recognized after winning multiple awards including the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film festival in 2010 for Uncle Boonmee. We discover here how, born to two doctors in a small city in northern Thailand, he was able to find his way. He explains why, wanting first to become a veterinarian, he studied architecture before becoming the artist and filmmaker we know today.
Apichatpong Weerasethakul shares also the doubts in his career, even after winning the Jury Prize in the Cannes Film Festival. He then explains how he came to video art, which ultimately took more volume than cinema. He ends by giving advices on how to find his way as an artist. And finally explain why he decided to shoot his upcoming movie, Memoria, outside of Thailand.
